NAMASTE FROM INDIA
A note from the Directors

Storytelling – An Art, A Lesson, A Journey

Storytelling is such an explorative, immersive journey of learning. That is why we approach any family legacy with the lens that allows us to see their lives through their lives. Afterall, it is their story to tell.

As we continue to reflect this month of families and legacies, we share some of our experiences of the storytelling process. We won’t take any names, but we will give you a glimpse into the conversations, the pauses, the hurdles, and the final satisfaction of creating something lasting.

In other news, we are excited that the unveiling of Jewels of India – Bharat Ki Shaan, Bharat Ka Abhiman, is almost upon us. This book is an individual tribute to the people who are India’s pride and glory. It’s an extension of our commitment to honouring family legacies, except this is not just about one individual or family but about many coming together to become a global family.

We would also like to take this opportunity to humbly introduce our new identity – our logo. It is more than just a symbol. It honours our late Founder and Chairman, who is and always will be the strong foundation of our existence and forward journey.

We hope you will enjoy our newsletter and reach out to us with your suggestions. We are always listening.

Let’s create a circle of stories together …

FROM OUR JOURNALS

Notes from our storytelling journeys

We live in the age of instant sharing and disappearing story feeds. It is not lost upon us that the art of connecting has waned in recent years. As a family legacy publisher and India’s leading diaspora publishing house, the Maneesh Media team is incredibly privileged to continue preserving the human connection.

When we sit with families to document their stories, we become witnesses to extraordinary moments of joy, despair, and every emotion in between.

In these notes from our storytelling journeys, we reflect on those moments, each cherished for the satisfaction it brought at the end of it all.

INSIDE THE MM LAB

As we prepare for the event, it’s been a month of hard work, excitement, and putting the final touches to Jewels of India – Bharat ki Shaan, Bharat ka Abhiman.

This beautifully illustrated volume celebrates the indomitable spirit of India and its people, showcasing inspiring stories of leaders, innovators, creators, and changemakers across the globe.

From journeys of struggle to values-driven leadership, each story reflects resilience, cultural pride, and a deep love for the motherland. It is more than a book — it is a tribute, a coffee-table legacy meant to be cherished across generations.

The book will be officially released on 18 February 2026 by the Hon. Minister of Tourism, Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat ,

and the Hon. Minister of Commerce & Industry, Shri Piyush Goyal, the marking a celebration of India’s rising global influence and the enduring legacy of its people.

For us at Maneesh Media, these past 26 years have been about more than publishing — they’ve been about preserving legacies and celebrating the unstoppable spirit of the Indian diaspora.

The Feel-Good Vibes Award

The library was once a refuge for her. Years later, Rituparna Neog transformed that personal sanctuary into a collective one by founding the Akam Foundation, creating libraries and safe spaces where marginalised voices could finally be heard. Today, as a queer feminist activist, poet, and policymaker serving on both the Assam State Transgender Welfare Board and the National Council for Transgender Persons, Rituparna continues to turn acts of reading into acts of resistance — redefining futures through coexistence and empowerment.

Rituparna Neog believes in radical love and we love her radically. It was an honour for us to feature Rituparna in our TRANSformation - Tales of 75 Transgender Warriors’ Fight for Freedom and Equality.

To know more about her and support her you can visit https://akamfoundation.org.in/

If there’s an organisation or individual you believe is making a real difference, write to us and share what makes them special. We’d love to feature them on your behalf.
