The hotel magnate in the USA, Chandubhai Keshavlal Patel is the former President and Chairman of National Federation of Indian American Associations. Referring CK as a socio-political powerhouse and a man of peace would not be wrong. His motto of inspiring people and imparting the social service in full measure has carved a special niche for himself in the political and commercial sectors in India and USA.
Born in India, CK made to the USA in 1974 to pursue MBA in Industrial Management. He geared up his brain for the hospitality business during his studies that ended up making him a highly successful and globally respected hotelier of the date. One of his biggest acclaims is the Hilton Hotel Resort at Dana Point in California. Thenceforth, he has built, owned, and operated many hotels in the posh areas of Los Angeles.
When it came to unfolding the insights of CK’s journey, Maneesh Media went heart-to-heart with the man. We still feel thoroughly fortunate to know him on the personal front and have featured him our coffee table book, Jewels of Gujarat – Leading Global Gujarati Personalities: Vol I.
His activities of doing the societal good has marked tremendous improvements in the community. To name a few, he formed the Greenport Energy Park (GEP), LLC to monitor global warming and other environment pollution factors. The Nav Gujarat Society, Indo-US Chamber of Commerce, and Southern California Hotel-Motel Association are the organisations he has been involved with as the President and Chairman. CK’s high spots in the political arena include his designation for the Chairman Advisory Board for the National Republican Party. Also, he was present in three Republican inaugurations including Ronald Reagan, George H. Bush and George W. Bush.
Not only in the USA, but Mr. Patel also contributed a lot towards the development of a better society in his native country. For better health care facilities in his home state, he established the Sabarkantha Health and Research Foundation. He has also given the monetary aid to the Krishna General Hospital in Himmatnagar and converted it into a full-fledged medical college.
Gitaben Patel, his life-partner, has always been instrumental in helping him take life’s small-to-large decisions since 1978. The couple’s love is equally distributed among their two children, Payal and Sagar. While Payal is married to Piyush Patel and settled well in India, his son is handing support in his father’s real estate business.
