Mr. Anilkumar Jayantilal Wadher is a man who was not born in Gujarat but still his ties with this state are so strong that he visits it every year. Inspite of a successful enterprise in Oman he ventured into some businesses in India to stay close to his roots. That is not all he also generously contributes to the Ekal Vidyalaya Foundation which is a registered not-for-profit organisation dedicated to bringing education & village development in rural India. He is a true gem who says that he loves to do the good work not for awards and appreciations but for inner peace and satisfaction.
We Must Adventure in Order to Know Where we Truly Belong
Mr. Wadher was born at Omdurman (Sudan) in 1945, as his parents, Mrs. Taraben & Mr. Jayantilal Patel had gone to Sudan in 1938. They went as traders and dealt in commodities like clothes, cotton, cereal stationary, cutlery, and so on. He is the eldest and has six siblings, two brothers and four sisters. All the children have done the schooling at Sudan and became proficient in the Arabic language. Due to family economic constraints, young Anil had to give up his studies to support his father in the business. He recalls that even when he was studying he used to work at his father’s shop and this really helped in developing his entrepreneurial acumen.
It is Surmounting Difficulties That Makes Heroes
In the late 1960s the political situation was very uncertain in Sudan and a lot of Indians decided to move out of the country fearing expulsion, even Mr. Wadher’s father decided to wind up his business and move to India. It was 1971 when Mr. Wadher landed in India for the first time. This trip further resulted as turning point of life and after spending more than two decades in Sudan, Mr. Wadher was all of sudden found himself at new place. On coming here he started a shop selling suitcases and other traveling needs. However he did not enjoy this new business and decided to move to Oman, a country promising better trade prospects. His father did not approve his plans so he decided to venture out alone and started an enterprise selling building material in partnership with a local businessman of Oman. Gradually the business picked up and he decided to expand his business and he invited his brother Keshav to come and join him. Then the brother duo laid the foundation of Intisar Corporation which soon became one of the fastest emerging and an unchallenged leader in the fire fighting arena in the Sultanate of Oman.
Intisar Corporation LLC – Fire Fighting and Safety Engineering Division, was setup in the year 1993 as a contracting company carrying out fire fighting services. Over the years they have shown a considerable growth and have successfully carried out some of the biggest and the most intricate projects in Oman.

Once the business was up and running, Wadher could have enjoyed success but they wanted to do more and with this intention they ventured into fashion clothing and they have a retail and wholesale clothing business under the name, Altaqdeer Fashions with Sindhi partners. Mr. Wadher shared that because they have done their initial school at Sudan they are comfortable in Muscat and knowing the local language was an added advantage. It is even more impressive that they have managed to run successful partnerships with variety of partners who come from different ethnic and social backgrounds. This shows that Mr. Wadher has an amazing ability to connect with a variety of people. Recently they have also got involved in an Ahmedabad based company dealing in Industrial Technical Supply.
Work Hard in Silence, Let Success Make the Noise
Mr. Wadher is a Jain and believes that one has to do good work not for appreciation and awards but for salvation of the soul. He also has association with the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha and has made donations to strengthen social and community welfare but he never goes public with the details. That is not all he as a kid had to give up education in the middle due to financial constraints so he wants that other kids should not suffer the same fate. That is the reason why he has got associated with Ekal Vidyalaya Foundation.
A person who was never driven by awards and appreciation but wants to make the world a better place to live and is in a business that saves life from fire, Mr. Wadher is surely man who truly deserves respect and admiration.
Mr. Anilkumar Jayantilal Wadher’s Gujarat
Mr. Wadher loves the state of Gujarat and he visits this state every year. He feels that the developments in the state have been remarkable and the government has done a great job in attracting foreign investments and his only message for the Gujarat government is to keep up the good work. He has been doing business in two different countries one in Muscat and the other in India so when asked do you feel there is any difference in the two places, Mr. Wadher replies no in fact customers appreciate good work and good product and the geographies don’t really matter.
Message for Youth :
Mr. Wadher feels that the youngsters hold the key to the future. They are the ones who will shape our tomorrow and for this they have to be equipped with the right knowledge and information. His advice to the youth is to attain the best and the latest knowledge and study hard and work harder with honesty and dedication.
Family
Mr. Wadher married Shobhaben, daughter of Popatlal Valji Maniyar at Rajkot and the couple has three children, two daughters and a son. Their eldest daughter Sunita is a CA by education and is currently in Dubai along with her husband Harun Memon who is currently in Networking at the leading Software Company, Ericson. They have two kids a son and a daughter.
Mr. Wadher’s second daughter Asha is in US and she is doing a business in partnership with her brother Vishal who is a software Engineer and runs a website Atmosol. Mr. Vishal Wadher is engaged to be married with a girl who is from Gujarat.
