Mr. Atul Jogani is a well known entrepreneur and recipient of Hind Ratan award in the year 2006. His journey of life is an inspirational story because he has been working to make India a leading economy in the coming years. He has been promoting Brand India along with becoming a respected Vice President of The Thai Gem & Jewellery Trader’s Association in Thailand. He was also the Secretary of the Indo – Thai Chamber of Commerce, Thailand. That is not all he is loved as the President of the Indian Thai Diamond & Colour Stone association in Thailand.
Life isn’t a Matter of Milestones but of Moments
Mr. Jogani was born on August 31, 1964 in Calcutta (now Kolkata). He is seventh of the eight children of Mrs. Manjula Jogani and Mr. Jayantilal Jogani. He remembers that his father always treated all his children equally and they all grew up in a very loving and protective environment. From very young days Mr. Jogani always looked up to his father for inspiration and advice. A streak of leadership and community service was inherent in Mr. Jogani and he recalls that whatever he did he always found himself in a leadership role. He remembers that he was the captain of a cricket team and from those days onwards has been supporting the game of cricket. On completing his education he moved to Thailand in the year 1988.
He remembers that his father advised him that he should move out of the country to achieve his dreams. So, on his father’s behest he set his foot in Thailand and has been here for the last 27 years.

On coming to Thailand, Mr. Jogani started off with trading diamonds and other coloured stones under the family business & legacy was christened as “Living Stones Diamond Co.” in 1987. This was just the start soon he could figure out the market requirements and the customer sentiments and gradually he started diversifying his business to include sectors like health and fitness besides Sports, Spa Consultancy and Melamine crockery. Now he is the Chairman of the Jogani Group and is well respected in both Thailand and India. He gives the credit of his success to God Almighty and he feels that its God’s grace that he is successfully managing the group.
A Great Leader’s Courage to Fulfill his Vision Comes from Passion Not Position
What sets Mr. Jogani apart from his peers is that besides being a successful entrepreneur with multiple ventures he is also very active in community services. Soon after moving to Thailand he had been instrumental in formation of Indian Thai Diamond & Colour Stone Association and organization that has been the go-to institution for all the businessmen in the diamond and colour stone trade from India in Thailand.
For the last 12 years he has been serving as the President of this organization. That is not all he is also the Vice President of The Thai Gem & Jewellery Trader’s Association in Thailand which is not a small achievement as he is the first Indian to be promoted to such an important post. He is also the first Indian to be appointed as a Vice President in a Non-Indian Gem & Jewelry Association.
That is not all he has been a bridge between Thailand and India and has served as Secretary of the Indo – Thai Chamber of Commerce in Thailand. In Mr. Jogani’s words this quality of being a community leader he has inherited from his father who was also a leader in his village.
He has been instrumental in the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Thailand & India which has been highly beneficial for the Gem & Jewelry Industry and trade.
No Act of Kindness is Ever Wasted
Along with being a community leader, Mr. Jogani has a very noble heart that always helps people in distress. He says that he always helps people facing problems so they can contact him anytime they need him. He has been involved with several charitable events in Thailand and he has sponsored many cricket awards but one particular event that holds a special place in his heart is the musical concert by mentally challenged kids in Thailand. He shares that he got to know about a NGO Big Wonders which works with these kids who are blessed with amazing singing ability and so all these children were invited to Thailand where they performed in front of special dignitaries including ambassadors of countries like India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and so on. This concert received overwhelming response and Mr. Jogani has plans to organize a similar concert in Hong Kong in near future.
Faith is Seeing Light with your Heart, when All you See is Darkness
Another facet of Mr. Jogani’s personality is his religious devotion. He is a Devout Jain and he has hosted three Jain shibir in Saraburi, Kanchanaburi, and Khao Yai where he has taken 200 people from Bangkok, Malaysia, Singapore, and Hong Kong to learn about Jainism and it was headed by Triputi Bandhu Pujya Jinchindra Maharaj saheb.
In short, the life of Mr. Jogani is of a man who always worked for his community and people who are less fortunate, truly a man with a heart of gold. He has been promoting India to people abroad with the words this is the most right time to invest in India.
Mr. Atul Jogani’s Gujarat
Mr. Jogani is really proud of his Gujarati origin and feels that the economic progress shown by the state in the recent years is commendable. He feels that with Mr. Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister and at the helm of things will definitely see a start of new era in Indian economy. He feels that this is the right time for everyone to invest in India and Gujarat. The only thing that he expects the government to improve is Red-Tapism and Bureaucracy which are a deterrent for all the people wanting to Invest in India and Gujarat. He adds that this is the right time for anyone to come to India. It should be now or never. As India is growing at such a fast rate it would be difficult to enter later.
Message for Youth :
Mr. Jogani says there was a time when people had to leave India for better prospects but now is a time when youngsters should come to India as this is that country with the best future prospects. He calls on all youngsters to please come to India as this is going to be the country to great importance with in the coming 10 years. This is not just a message he follows it himself and he has send his daughters to India to do business.
Rich Family Values
Mr. Jogani is married to Shilpa Jogani, who has always been his partner in businesss & social activities. The couple has two beautiful and talented daughters, Ms. Karishma Jogani and Ms. Ishaa Jogani. Karishma has completed her education and helping his father in melamine business under brand name ‘Intrendz’ and also fitness business under Almac Sports along with Spa & consultancy business. While Ishaa is studying and also helping her father in the Diamond and Almac sports business.
