Indiaspora Opens Applications for 12-Day Heritage Program for Diaspora Teens

Indiaspora – our official Global Diaspora Support Partner for Jewels of India — Bharat Ki Shaan, Bharat Ka Abhiman – has opened applications for its Heritage Connect Program, a 12-day heritage and leadership initiative for Indian-origin high school juniors and seniors aged 17 to 19 from the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Singapore and Australia.

Running from 21 December 2026 to 1 January 2027, the programme takes a select cohort of 12 to 15 students across Delhi, Agra, Jaipur and Viratnagar, Rajasthan. Highlights include visits to the Taj Mahal, Amer Fort, Red Fort and Parliament House, along with a possible audience with Nobel Peace Laureate Kailash Satyarthi and time at Bal Ashram, the Satyarthi Movement for Global Compassion’s rehabilitation centre for rescued children.

The programme, delivered in association with 360Plus.org, aims to help young diaspora leaders explore identity, leadership and social impact while building global friendships. The fee covers accommodation, meals, local transport, activities and airport transfers, but excluding international airfare, visas, insurance and personal expenses. Merit-and-need-based scholarships are available, covering in-India programme costs only.

Applications open 15 August 2026 and close 30 September 2026, with virtual interviews from 1 to 15 October and final selections on 20 October 2026. An OCI card is not required; non-OCI participants must arrange a tourist or e-Tourist visa. The programme is fully supervised, with twin-sharing accommodation, and parents may not accompany students.
