Our long-standing partnership with Natwar Gandhi—former CFO of Washington, D.C.—is rooted in a shared vision of community empowerment. This bond was strengthened when Maneesh Media published his autobiography, Ek Anjaan Gandhi Ki Atmakatha. The book traces his journey from a small village in Gujarat to the corridors of American power, embodying the resilience and commitment to service that define his life’s work.
This ethos is the cornerstone of the Karna Charities International Foundation, a Washington, D.C.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in June 2016. Chaired by Natwar Gandhi, the foundation is a bridge between communities, focusing on what matters most: health, education, and opportunity.
True to its mission, Karna Charities has been making a tangible impact. In its latest initiative, the foundation organised the free distribution of sanitary pads to 130 young girls in a government school in Savar Kundla, Gujarat—the very village Gandhi hails from. This effort, which included vital guidance on hygiene and nutrition, is a direct response to a critical community need. It reflects the foundation’s dedication to women’s health and literacy, ensuring the next generation has the tools to succeed. Karna Charities proves that community is not just a place, but a commitment. By supporting healthcare facilities, students, and underserved populations both in the US and abroad, it builds a global community united by compassion and action.
