His social media bio is all about his dream, passion and work, Print Early. He is an online marketing visionary, marketing analyst, rush printing specialist, entrepreneur and a cool dad! He is humble to not mention success kissing his feet rather young.
Mohamad founded Print Early in 2010 offering last minute printing solutions to Fortune 500 companies and others. It offers full spectrum of design and marketing services that cater to various elements of successful marketing campaigns. He expanded under the name New York Banner Stands, expertizing in exclusive trade show displays, red-carpet events branding, store branding and much more. He now has 300 operational websites to increase online presence.
Print Early was official printing sponsor for IIFA 2017 in New Jersey. In 2018 and 2022, he worked closely with the United Nations on the Building Resources in Democracy Governance and Elections (BRIDGE) display project in preparation of the General Assembly. He also sponsored many events in previous years, like AR Rahman’s Jai Ho Concert, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan Show, Diwali at Times Square, Mahindra Indo-American Arts Council Film Festival (MIAAC) and New York Business Expo.
Since the time Mohamad began his journey of establishing business, he has worked closely with Apna Bazar, one of the largest and reputed Indian supermarkets in the US. He has been their printing source and an exclusive marketing strategist since 2007. He has launched 23 of its outlets throughout New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Delaware, Pennsylvania and California.
He has established four distinctive businesses in the last 15 years. After the success of Print Early and New York Banner Stands, he decided to venture into the herbal and food industry. In 2014, he launched Zaarah Herbals for importing herbal supplements from India. Initiating with 15 herbal products, the business is now driven with 58 herbal products in health and beauty domain. In 2016, he launched New York Wholesale Group exclusively to provide reusable shopping bags to major Indian supermarkets in the US. In 2022, he launched Mast, a food brand offering frozen food, mouth fresheners and snacks.
From Small Beginnings Come Great Things
He was born in Miraj, a small city in Maharashtra, in 1981 and grew up in Belgaum, Karnataka. His mother, Nafeesa, and father, Mushtaq Hussain, worked extremely hard to provide him with the best education possible and encouraged him to keep high goals. His father was the Founder-Owner of Falcon Advertisers, one of the top outdoor advertising agencies in Belgaum. Impatient to embark on his career and with an aim to carry on the family legacy, he chose to follow his father’s footsteps. While in teenage, Mohamad got actively involved in his father’s business, learned day-to-day functioning and attained good business acumen.
A bright student, he helped his father’s business to grow along with studies. He graduated with an MBA from Visvesvaraya Technological University in 2004. Soon after, he joined LG Electronics Inc as a Regional Marketing Manager and gained mainstream corporate experience. When in 2005, he was offered Senior Marketing Executive position at Swiss Arabian Perfumes, Dubai, he took the opportunity to gain international exposure. He enjoyed his two years in the fast, diverse, exceptional, trending and futuristic city before grabbing another job opportunity and moving to New York City in 2007.
In New York City, Mohamad initially worked for an advertising agency as an account manager, but the opportunities in owning a business were weighing over the limitations in a job. Starting young with strong self-belief and innate leadership qualities, he pursued his dream of starting his own business and becoming an emerging entrepreneur. In 2008, Mohamad established his first company, Malak Designs Inc, a digitally integrated creative agency, specializing in website and graphic designing, website development, logo designs, print design, marketing collateral and printing.
He believes, “New business owners must be masters of improvisation. One must learn to take risks, stand bold and decisive and pivot quickly in a different direction if necessary”.
Moving ahead with the love of his family and dedicated working, it was now time to reach new heights of success. Mohamad launched his second company, Print Early LLC in 2010 which soon became the primary NYC-based printing company for many. It was also the most preferred vendor for trade shows in The Jacob Javits Convention Center.
Asked about choosing entrepreneurship as a career, he said, “A commitment to being an entrepreneur is a commitment to change and evolve. I don’t think you ever really know you’re going the right way but you must always be prepared to build a new way”.
Mohamad has spread his reach to various industries – restaurant, retail, media, non-profit organizations, education, healthcare, real estate and many more. He has built strong ties with many businesses, associations and celebrities. United Nations, Facebook, Google, Amazon, IIFA, Lyft, Dwyane Johnson, Lyca Mobile, Adidas, Pace University, Citibank, Tiffany & Co, Volvo, The Economist, Consulate General of India, New York Police Department, India Association of Long Island (IALI), Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) and Rajasthan Association of North America (RANA) are few among his long list of valuable clients.
Soar to New Heights
“Success to me means achieving enough to be able to help others. Make a difference in as many lives as possible,” he says.
Apart from providing great business services, he has earned genuine trust and respect from his clients. His commitment and hard work toward all projects, positive attitude and charismatic personality have all contributed to the name he has earned in his business and social network. He continues to follow his vision and has a desire to keep growing. He has set new goals for his companies for the near future.
To honor Mohamad’s achievements, The Queens Courier awarded him the Rising Star Award for outstanding leadership skills under the age of 30 in 2012.
After all these years away from India, he still is deeply in love with his motherland. “The most beautiful thing about India is the unity in diversity. People of so many religions, cultures and languages live together in harmony and rejoice with each other. Saare jahan se acha Hindustan hamara (east or west, India is the best).”
He is a traveler and lovingly recalls the times when he visited Germany, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, China, Malaysia, Vietnam, Mexico, Turkey, Maldives, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and the UAE. He loves to explore different cuisines – always curious to explore new cultures and meet new people. “It is just the beginning; I wish to see the whole wide world!”
Together, Forever
Through all the challenges and successes, Mohamad had his own source of energy; she has the same winning temperament and at the same time has the love and respect for him – his beloved wife, Shagufta. Married for 15 years, the two have shared a relationship of solace, commitment and friendship. “She has never let me down and has always surpassed my expectations. I am blessed to have a supportive and devoted wife and a great mother for my children.” The couple is blessed with four beautiful children – twins, Zohair and Zaarah (13), Umar (9) and Anwar (5). Mohamad believes it is his family that makes his house a sweet home.
With a firm belief, he quotes Eleanor Roosevelt, “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams”.
