It began as a book to mark 50 years. It became a story about the life behind those 50 years — and the life that would follow. For Supra Group, the 50th anniversary was a moment to look back at five decades of enterprise and document the journey of its founder, P. R. Kejriwal.
When conversations began, something became increasingly evident. The story had to be told – of the man, the company, and the family legacy. The Supra Group – A Tribute to P. R. Kejriwal was born.
Behind The Brief
The original anniversary project gradually began to take on a life of its own. The family brought memories, photographs, documents and stories spanning generations. We brought questions, structure and the editorial process needed to shape those fragments into a narrative.
Together, we began asking what the book needed to remember.
Which moments revealed P. R. Kejriwal beyond his professional achievements? Which milestones defined Supra Group’s journey? How much of the personal story belonged alongside the corporate one?
The answers arrived, gradually, through researched questions and conversations that broke the surface to bring out the deepest memories.
Fragments That Came Together
In many ways, the process of creating the book mirrored the process of remembering a life.
A life is not lived in chapters. It is lived in moments — decisions, relationships, turning points, photographs and conversations. Some memories are carefully preserved. Others survive because someone remembers to tell them.
The task was to find the connections between those fragments.
A business milestone could reveal something about the man. A family memory could explain a value that later shaped the organisation. A photograph could open a story that had almost been forgotten. This is where collaboration became central. The book was not simply written for the family. It was shaped with them.
The Storyteller’s Privilege
For a true storyteller, a book is never just a sum of its pages and the way they are presented (We have a great creative team that takes care of that)
To a storyteller, it is the challenge of drawing out the unique and turning it into a tale like no other.
With this book, Maneesh Media knew that it was not just about examining the past and present, it was also about what came next.
Maneesh Media understands that even though a life takes decades to build, only a finite number of memories remain to tell it by. A book gives those memories somewhere to stay — and gives future generations a way to understand what came before them.
For Supra Group, the anniversary became an opportunity to do more than celebrate 50 years.
It became a way to ask what those 50 years meant and what they had built. It also opened the doors to what the future could hold, and it has given the next generation the valuable choice of being able to add to it by telling their own story, continuing the family legacy.
