US-Based NRI Philanthropist’s Trust Marks 30 Years of Service in Punjab

Dream & Beauty Charitable Trust (DBCT), founded by US-based NRI entrepreneur Anil K. Monga, celebrated its 30th anniversary on 2nd October at Heavenly Palace in Doraha, Ludhiana. The milestone event coincided with Gandhi Jayanti and Senior Citizens Day, bringing together spiritual leaders, dignitaries, and the very communities the Trust serves.

Monga, who moved to New York in 1986 and built Victory International (USA) into a global fragrance enterprise, established DBCT in 1996 to give back to his homeland. Under his vision and leadership, the Trust has grown into one of Punjab’s most recognised charitable institutions, serving over 7,000 meals daily and providing a life of dignity, care, and belonging for senior citizens and orphaned children.

The occasion was blessed by the presence of His Holiness Acharya Mahamandleshwar Swami Kailashanand Giri Ji Maharaj, whose words brought profound spiritual grace to the celebration. Distinguished guests included Hon’ble Justice Vinod Chatterji Koul, Judge of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh; Padma Bhushan Dr. Sardara Singh Johl, Senior Advisor to DBCT; Mr. Kyle Monga, Vice Chairman; and Mrs. Pooja Grover, Special Guest. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini also attended, praising the Trust’s journey from a “small sapling” in 1996 to a “vast banyan tree” today.

The heart of the celebration belonged to Heavenly Palace residents and Heavenly Angels, who took to the stage with spirited dance, music, and a beautiful Kathak performance. Their joy reminded everyone that age never diminishes the spirit of living. As Padma Bhushan Dr. S.S. Johl delivered the vote of thanks, the occasion became a moment to express gratitude to every person who has walked this journey.
