Jewels of Punjab

Leading Global Punjabi Personalities: Volume II

Jewels of Punjab is a series of coffee-table books featuring the most influential Punjabis across the world. The first volume was released by the former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and Air Chief Marshal BS Dhanoa; it covered 100 families from 19 countries and has travelled to 39 countries.

Following its success, the second volume in this series is a celebration of victory over struggles and over failures. A compilation of life’s odysseys of 75 families across 19 countries, it showcases how today’s reckoned names earned their reputation, starting out with almost nothing.

The book is a way to celebrate Shri Guru Nanak Dev ji‘s 550th birth anniversary.

As they say, all good things come in small packages. A similar situation exists in the case of the Indian state of Punjab. This book highlights the achievements of Punjabis in the country and outside, in their respective fields. Their tireless efforts have not only brought them some measure of prosperity and renown, but has made their adopted countries proud as well. These inspiring stories in the book will certainly change the lives of someone, somewhere.
